Omnicom Names Gary VonKennel Chairman/CEO

Omnicom Group has named Gary VonKennel chairman and CEO of direct marketing shop Rapp Collins Worldwide.

Gary VonKennel

He replaces Malcolm Speed, 52, who is retiring. VonKennel, 55, had been chairman of Omnicom's promo shop Tracy Locke Partnership, Dallas, and president and CEO of U.S. Marketing & Promotions, Torrance, CA, also an Omnicom shop.

VonKennel founded Promotional Services Group in 1981 as part of the original Tracy-Locke agency.
