COOLSAVINGS TARGETS ONLINE BROWSERS

Online coupon service CoolSavings this week introduced Buy Anywhere, a new program that enables marketers to offer coupons that can be redeemed across multiple online and offline channels ranging from Web sites to store locations to 800 numbers.

The offers can be delivered through coolsavings.com, online newsletters, targeted e-mail or direct mail, and will be highlighted with the Buy Anywhere logo. CoolSavings is offering Buy Anywhere as a custom program and pricing model that can vary depending on the goals of the program, such as CPM or cost-per-lead.

Downloadable coupons, in particular, could be of real interest to e-consumers since 70 percent of Internet shoppers conduct product research online then make the actual purchase offline, according to a report last month by the UCLA Center for Communication Policy.
