UNIONDALE, NY -- Jon Bon Jovi's Philadelphia Soul are coming to town to play the New York Dragons on May 30, smack-dab in the middle of Memorial Day Weekend. So to ensure Bon Jovi's team plays in front of a full house, the Dragons are running a buy one ticket, get two free promotion.

"We know that people are already making plans for Memorial Day weekend," said Dragons Marketing Director Jessica Sousa Tuttle. "We want to capture their attention now with a great deal so they'll plan to include us in their plans."

At $55 for the most-expensive available tickets, Tuttle noted the promotion can offer a savings incentive of up to $110.

"A lot of our core fans plan to attend games a week in advance, but we figured if we could capture people's attention two weeks in advance, we can give them a little more a little more incentive to come to the game," Tuttle said.

Tuttle said the team's original plan was to offer the deal on the field after Sunday's game against Los Angeles was played. However, the team is extending the offer to attract people -- such as Bon Jovi fans hoping to get a peek at the rocker -- who may not regularly attend an Arena Football game.

The promotion will be supported through the Dragons' media channels, including newspaper, television and radio ads, as well as on the team's Web site.

Though the Dragons average more than 10,000 fans a game at Nassau Coliseum, Tuttle noted that attendance tends to slip once nicer weather on Long Island gives people more weekend entertainment options.
